Wat een bijzonder dorp is Santpoort-Noord, en wat een bijzondere plek is het Mosterdzaadje.
I’ve lived in Santpoort-Noord for nearly two and a half years, and it gave me enormous pride (and not a little terror) to make a short speech in Dutch on 15 January, in the presence of 150 business men and women from our village. The occasion was the launch of Santpoort-Noord’s very own, one-off glossy magazine, and my contribution was a linocut print of ‘t Mosterdzaadje, a beautiful concert venue with an active programme of the highest quality. I presented its surprised owners, Pim and Paula, with a framed print, the first in an edition of 100, and much to my relief, they were delighted. As for me, I’m over the moon. I love Santpoort-Noord, and I feel privileged to be welcomed into the heart of the community in this way.
