“On a snowy day last January one of my walks took me by the windmill near where we were living in Aalsmeer. Given that the canal the mill fed was seemingly frozen solid, I was surprised to see they had the sails out during a snowstorm. It made such a lovely scene, however; the snow falling silently and the gentle “woosh!” of the mill as it turned. I am so excited that Catriona chose the quick snapshot I took of that wintery day and am pleased to be able to share the uniquely Dutch winter scene I encountered.”
